Even UB boy can’t shield himself from the sound of the churchbell. Uncountable fragments of feelings scatter all over him and he let’s it rain. They must seep in through little cracks gradually forming in the shield.
To UB boy the worst principle in life to this day is ‘eat or be eaten’. One example of disillusioning features under the hood of life. He feels forced to comply if he wants to take a next step. If so, he rather eats himself.
It strikes UB boy that when things seem paradoxically, they turn out to be the right thing to do. Well, very nice to know! So doing the bad thing of eating another person, is the right thing to do?!?!
So in this beautiful song UB boy considers what to do. Through a glass the light scatters in different angles and in his eyes. Thus presenting a variety of choices to make. Quite a responsibility...
UB boy makes his choice and decides to go to the beach. There he gives the care of the Child in him back to the mighty Sea. Without any words. He promises the child to take it back as soon as everything is alright. He’ll then wake it in a Heaven's dawn.
Eat the children... Not nice probably to say something like that. Could be a setback of dragging his own child all the way. And now UB Boy is relieved, all comes free, also the dirty & ugly things. Or maybe it is a paradox, eating ones own offspring. Who knows.
UB Boy lies awkwardly on his arm and the pain works him out of bed. He then undertakes a journey through nocturnal The Hague. Its streetmap seems to correspond with the road map that directs UB through his life. So a bend in the street determines what way to go…

While UB boy was still scanning the schoolyard for colourful girls, a friend slid in his life. As the Oxford English Dictionary defines: “slide (slid, slidden) Move smoothly along a surface”. And so Peter smoothly slid his motorbike along the asphalt. What an entry!
Somehow the ordinairy daily life knows how to touch UB Boy in the heart. While shopping for his bread, butter and Dutch cheese he recognizes the streets again he has been crossing every day. For so many years he only saw the inside of his skull. That gives confidence & hope..!
Encouraged by the feeling that he can look after himself now, UB Boy decides to go to the Sea to collect his child. By some reason he takes his friend Deluciana with him. The blond warm blooded girl. Has UB already reached his Heaven’s Dawn?
A year passed by, a year in which UB Boy completed his military service. He finds a job in a warehouse. There he meets all sorts of people and a Turkish boy makes him smile. That unwinds the body and rekindles the soul.
UB Boy came so far. Every year he reaches the summer holidays it seems he finally got to the finish. But it always appears some stop-over. When will his inhuman efforts be recognized?
