Dear Shennika,
I hope these words may find you in good condition. In the side story of my next song about ‘Shennika’ I speak publicly, in this side story I wish to use a personal tone. I speak to you.
I want you to know that I value things in life. Happiness, health, happenings and most of all I value people. People that somehow contributed to my life and that I hope I contributed to as well. People that mean something to me, you mean to me. I know I can’t serve each and every person, but some I will honour explicitly.
I am a man of honour. As I already was as a child. I don’t throw things away easily. Every piece of furniture, or utensil has a story. They bring back the story of the people that gave them to me. My piano, my stove, the dining table, the cutlery, and so on.
Now you are no spoon. Haha. But you belong to the kind of people that are in my line. We got along together sincerely, worked side by side. I brought you to the train and we walked along the canal. And we never stressed that that would mean something. We never gave it a name. It was all about gestures, leading and following, inviting and accepting. Towards the end. A sudden end. The moment I had to leave. Which had nothing to do with you.
What held us together wasn’t ripe yet, not pronounced and full grown enough. I aborted it. I won’t question it now, it happened. It then seemed the bitter though right thing to do.
I can only wish these two songs get your appreciation. That they make you feel special, cause you are. What these songs mean to me, you can read on the page of the second song: I’ll bring you to the train.
