Butterfly, don’t fear heights..!
The second half of the ninties I was a free man. I traveled the world and watched TV. One mini series I really enjoyed: Charlot og Charlotte. A Danish production it was. Four episodes broadcasted four Sundays. Four Sundays of pleasure and excitement. One of the episodes - I don’t know which one - tells a poem about the butterfly (Sommerfugl in Danish). That impressed me. But as impressive these supporting lessons of life always are, they can easily fade: "Don’t be afraid of what you are made for. You can." >>
"The butterfly just emerging from its cocoon. The old dies, the new presents itself. Perhaps the butterfly is afraid when it sees the first rays of light. Who can tell? But when it feels the wind picking at its wings, which it didn't even know it had, it suddenly takes off. Its wings lift it above the Earth. It looks down at the Earth on which it crawled when it was still an ugly hairy caterpillar. But perhaps it is afraid of the height and the landscape that it could not see at first. Butterfly, don’t fear heights..!"
